Flight Training

Domestic Flight Training

AHB’s reputation for turning out quality candidates through our internship programme is resulting in a higher success rate of employment and would be viewed as the leading attribute. The internship programme provides additional outcomes over and above the Diploma prescribed outcomes.  This includes additional flying hours, development of organization and communication skills, well rounded technical skills and insight to commercial operations.

The Air Hawkes Bay flying academy has up to eighteen experienced instructors to operate an aircraft fleet that includes Piper Tomahawks and Cherokee, Cessna 152, Cessna 172s (glass cockpit), and Twin Engine Piper Seneca. These aircraft are supported with CAA approved simulators. Air HB was the first New Zealand Training Provider to be accredited with CAA Part 141. The organization has New Zealand Qualification Authority accreditation and is also a Signatory to the Code of Practice for International Students. This allows AHB to train overseas students.
